Book Q & A

  • What inspired you to write this book?

This book was inspired by many various things happening in my life as well as many lucid dream states for 20 years.

  • Summarize your book in one to three sentences as if you were speaking to someone unfamiliar with your book and it’s topic.

This collection of poetry and short stories is all about never leaving anything on the shelf. As a child, I was always curious, and when I learned of my adoption at the age of eight, it changed me. I internally knew I was different but have always been thankful for my mothers love. I believe that it was one of the things that kept me alive when I was lucky enough to be her son. I always enjoyed writing my feelings. I always thought it was the expression of emotion that proves the passion we hold. I also never thought it should be bottled up.

  • Where does this book take place?

The majority are feelings from life experiences.

  • Why do you think that this book will appeal to readers?

I think this book will help others experience some pretty intense feelings from another persons’s perspective. Sometimes it’s good to see another’s outlook.

  • How is this book relevant in today’s society?

Many people daily are going through something good or bad. This book has various chapters like Strength, Motivation, and Searching and to many it may be uplifting for others it may make them think deeply. There is something for every emotion I feel.

  • What makes this book different from other books like it?

The book is unique because at times I would write like I truly was not going to be here the next day. It was interesting to write like this because it really can happen we never do know when we will no longer be here, but when we see a new day and read what we wrote the day before we smile and start to understand gratitude a little more deeper.

  • What do you want readers to take away from your writing?

The ability to learn that we are all creative if we challenge ourselves. We all have amazing value.

  • How did you learn about the topic?

Many things would always make me feel like writing. I would get a thought grab a napkin or piece of paper in many places that I would be located. It was great to just find a friend within myself nd share thoughts like I was sharing them right back to me again at a later date. But when someone else wanted to read something and they would show emotion. That is when I started to realize that creating is powerful even if its just a quote or a phrase. It shows us all that we are not just what we see in the mirror. We are so much more than that.

  • Is there a particular passage from the book you’d like others to utilize?

My personal favorites from this book are the short story specifically “The Child Taught me Life” and the poem “The Consumer.” These two are completely different but show two styles of writing that are truth but intense emotion and force you to visualize.
